Adrian Chiles threatens to walk out of BBC1 show

Adrian Chiles is on the verge of leaving The One Show over plans to replace him as host on Friday nights with Chris Evans. Despite being offered his own chat show as a consolation, Chiles is said to be furious and threatening to quit altogether. But his stance could backfire – as the BBC is thought to have Chris Hollins waiting in the wings to take over the Monday to Thursday slots if he leaves.
