While Dani Pedrosa could only finish fifth after losing in the final round of competition with Honda team-mate in Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso and Nicky Hayden. For the second time Casey Stoner made a mistake after thrown from the track.
Rossi wasted his pole position with a direct shot at the start of the race, Lorenzo clung behind. Both kept a tight duel for several laps.
At the first corner on lap eight, Lorenzo could 'nudge' to order one but Rossi quickly responded that he soon returned to lead the race. But two laps later, exactly in the same place, Lorenzo Rossi must recognize greatness.
After this the lead on lap 10, immediately widen the distance Lorenzo and Rossi could not be pursued until the end of the race.
