Honda Recall 936 Thousand, Fit, City and CRV
Japan's Honda Motor attract 936,000 cars worldwide, most of the popular Fit subcompact, which is called the Jazz abroad, because of damage to the switch (switch) 'power windows', the company said Monday.
In the worst case scenario, the switch can be partially melted and the lid can catch fire, though no one has been injured due to such damage, a company spokesman said.
Producers will draw 216,193 units of the Fit and other models in Japan due to damage to the switch in the driver's side. Of that number is 203 777 units of Fit manufactured between October 2005 and October 2007.
Others, 255,766 vehicles recalled in China, 297,000 vehicles elsewhere in Asia, and 103,000 units in North America. Worldwide total of 936,000 units withdrawn.
The model became the subject of the global recall also includes an SUV (sports utility vehicle) City and CR-V, Honda said.
