Coachella 2011 Lineup

Daft Punk is not going to make his triumphant return to Coachella this year, but now we have to get out of the way, let's see what will actually be heading towards the desert of southern California to perform at the 2011 incarnation of this festival eternally hip. After teasing fans per day, and let the kind of rumors some facts from the fiction, the festival finally announced its official lineup Tuesday night.



It has been widely speculated that Duran Duran, Arcade Fire and The Strokes the title that this year's event, and in fact all three are on the bill - but, curiously, have a certain responsibility to "lead" status size of the Kings of Leon and (drum roll please) Kanye West. Other marquee acts are being added PJ Harvey, Interpol, Black Keys, Bright Eyes, Elbow, Mumford & Sons, Robyn, Cee-Lo Green, the Chemical Brothers, Animal Collective, and National Forest. And the "OMG" slot, be sure to raise eyebrows and heartbeats: A Death From Above 1979 meeting. Yes, really.





Previously, through YouTube videos that Coachella shyly placed on its website, was "leaked" to Trentemoller, Phantogram, Tame Impala, Lightning Bolt, Fanfarlo and monarchy are signed for this year's event. Confirmed.



Coachella 2011 takes place from April 15 to 17 in Indio, California, a series of travel packages including hotel and transport combinations are available and a limited amount of camping on site. As always, the alignment of the road games celebrity driven site before, during and after Festival hours are still largely without notice ... unless, of course, you've gotten the invitation.
